Job Description
The Business Banking Performance Consultant is primarily responsible for planning, designing, communicating and executing a specified scope of activities such as training, coaching, and skill assessments to improve the delivery of business products/solutions for an assigned group of banking centers. This will cover a range of business categories, including operational activities, retail products, other line of business product delivery, sales and applicable value-added programs. The Business Banking Performance Consultant will provide sales support and training to the Consumer Delivery team.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will collaborate with Area/Region Managers and Financial Center Leaders to attract, enhance, and expand business households.
- You will evaluate business acumen across the financial center team to drive training strategies and best practice adoption.
- You will interact with Training, Operations, Product Management, and corporate partners to improve business solutions delivery.
- You will develop and deliver training for consumer delivery team members on new products, productivity tools, operations, and sales.
- You will partner with Consumer Delivery leadership to implement custom sales and delivery strategies for consumer branches.
- You will provide business support, present to financial center teams, assist with initiatives, and communicate client experience strategies.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field and a minimum of 5+ years of Business Banking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced knowledge of business banking transactional products and procedures, treasury and merchant services including business credit cards
- Thorough knowledge of business banking credit products
- Extensive working knowledge of Consumer Banking, Business Banking, Merchant and Treasury Services
- Excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to pivot priorities quickly when needed
- Strong PC application skills including word processing, spreadsheet packages and PowerPoint presentations
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence others
- Demonstrated capacity to sell business products/services within the financial services industry to business clients
- Proficiency in developing training materials and using e-learning platforms
- Proven ability and desire to coach employees for improved performance
- Expert ability to make quality decisions in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned market
